About us
Founded in 2017, Tanway Technology has a core team that originates from the State Key Laboratory of the Department of Precision Instrument, Tsinghua University and has been working on LiDAR technology research and development since 2008. Tanway Technology ushers in the LiDAR 3.0 era by successfully developing Tanway Fusion, the only image pre-fusion based hardware in the LiDAR industry, which enhances the reliability of multi-sensor fusion and digs deeper into the application value and user value of LiDAR in the automotive field. To achieve the automotive-grade stability, Tanway Technology created a high-performance, low-cost, simple-to-mass-produce solid-state LiDAR based on its fully self-developed ALS platform technology. In 2019, Tanway Technology successfully delivered the mass-produced LiDARs. Tanway Technology, which has its headquarters and R&D Center in Beijing, chose Chengdu for its Electronics R&D Center, and launched the automotive-grade production line in Suzhou in 2021. In 2022, Tanway Technology received IATF16949 quality management system certification, and collaborated with HYCAN to launch the V09, the world’s first mass-produced MPV with LiDAR. Tanway Technology expects to partner with three OEMs for passenger cars in 2023.
